CodeRAG — search code by structure.

Personal project

Indexes methods and call graphs (not random text chunks) so you can search a codebase the way engineers actually think about it.

Links

  • github↗
  • Email→

Stack

  • Python
  • FastAPI
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Sentence Transformers
  • ChromaDB

Problem

Normal RAG splits code into text chunks. That breaks the links between functions. CodeRAG keeps method signatures and call relationships so answers can follow real control flow.

What it does

  • Indexes structure. Methods and call graphs live next to embeddings.
  • Search API + chat UI. Ask questions about a repo in plain language.
  • Flexible vector stores. Works with ChromaDB, PGVector, or Weaviate.

Stack

Python / FastAPI backend, React + TypeScript UI, Sentence Transformers for embeddings.
